Exhibition dedicated to the death of "Tukan"

The exhibition devoted to the tragic death of RTM 7002 "Tukan" was opened in the "Navigator" hotel.

The exhibition presents a complete chronology of those tragic events, rare photos of the crew and the ship, copies of archival documents.

From 1949 to 2017, 39 Kaliningrad ships drowned in the sea. However, most residents of Kaliningrad know only one tragedy - the death in 1967 of the RTM 7002 "Tukan". This is the heaviest loss in the fishing history of our region. On the night of 27 to 28 February 50 years ago, during a 10-point storm - in the Skagerrak Strait, the "Tukan" sank at the outlet to the North Sea. Then killed 57 sailors.

Visit the exhibition you can daily on the 3rd floor of the hotel "Navigator".
